My shelf pegboard gave up at 2am and I am not the same
Last Friday I heard this pop from my closet around 2am, went in and my pegboard had pulled clean off the wall, taking 14 controllers and 3 handhelds with it. It was one of those cheap fiberboard ones from Target, held up by two small anchors. I rebuilt it with a 1/2 inch plywood board from Home Depot, 8 anchors rated for 50 pounds each, and now I actually stagger the heavy stuff across rows. Anyone else had a wall mount fail in the middle of the night, or is my luck just special?
The last time I mounted anything it was a mirror and I put it up with the anchors from the kit, which lasted maybe 11 days before it dropped behind my dresser at 3am and scared me half to death. My wall repair skills are basically spackle and hope. 8 anchors at 50 pounds each sounds like you actually learned your lesson, unlike me.
