PSA: My friend's harsh take on my controller pile actually worked

Honestly, I had a rat's nest of cords and controllers stuffed under my TV stand for years. My buddy Jake came over last week and said it looked like a 'gamer crime scene,' which stung but was fair. I grabbed a $12 velcro cable wrap kit from the hardware store and spent an hour grouping everything by console. Now my Switch and PS4 cables are labeled and coiled, and I can actually pull out the one I need without unraveling three others. Has anyone else had a blunt comment that forced them to fix their setup?

Man, I feel this in my bones. I had pretty much the same thing happen with my brother a couple years back, he just looked at my drawer of tangled controllers and asked how I even lived like that. It stung but honestly it was the kick I needed. Now I keep all my cords in those little zip up bags by system and it's honestly so much easier to just grab and go. Good on Jake for saying what needed to be said, even if it was harsh. That first hour of organizing sucks but the payoff is real, you'll never go back.
