That day in November when the wind just would not quit

I was on a tower crane for a build in Tacoma last week, and the wind picked up to a steady 25 mph with gusts over 35. We had a load of steel decking ready to go, but the tagline guy was basically just hanging on for dear life. We ended up sitting for almost three hours waiting for a window, which never really came. The foreman finally called it, and we lost the whole afternoon. Has anyone else had a job where the wind forecast was just completely wrong like that?

Used to trust the forecast until a gust nearly took me off a roof.

Got caught in a downpour last year that wasn't even on the radar. Ended up soaked through, phone ruined, and had to walk two miles home squelching in my shoes.
