My roommate's 'cleansing ritual' seemed nuts, but the kitchen did sparkle
I moved in with this guy named Drew last March and he had this whole moon phase cleaning schedule written on a whiteboard. I thought he was just making excuses to avoid dishes, honestly. But after a full month of him scrubbing the fridge with salt water every new moon, I noticed the oven had no grease buildup at all. He also left a weird mix of baking soda and lavender oil in the corners and we got zero ants that whole summer, even with the windows open. I finally asked him why he did it and he said it was about 'reset energy' not just dirt. I still don't buy the spiritual part, but the kitchen did stay cleaner than any place I've lived in 5 years. Has anyone else had a roommate with a wild system that actually worked better than normal cleaning?
