Roommate war: is being a little messy actually fine, or am I fooling myself?
My roommate Dave and I have been going back and forth on this for a while now. He says a sink full of dishes for 2 days is normal and I'm the weird one for getting annoyed. I said fine, prove it, so we kept a tally on the fridge for a month. Dude left a pot of chili on the stove until it grew something fuzzy, and when I asked him about it he just said "it builds character." Around day 18 I realized I'd been doing the same thing with my laundry pile in the corner, just in a spot he never looked at. So now I can't tell if I was right to be mad or if we're both just gross in different ways. Where do you all draw the line, dishes or laundry, and does anyone actually win this fight?
