A retired sparky from Detroit changed how I run drops through attics

Metal hooks with the rubber coating is the only way to go in an attic. Plastic gets brittle after a few summers of that heat, and you end up redoing entire runs. That old timer saved you a headache, trust me on that. I switched years ago after pulling out a handful of snapped plastic ones that were holding up a main feed. Never looked back, and my drop work stays put now. That counter talk is how you learn the real stuff, better than any YouTube video.

The roommate who treated our fridge like a timed safe, so I made a food map

Quit calling it a map, that's a chore chart with extra steps. But yeah, every shared fridge needs hard boundaries or someone ends up eating mystery leftovers that were "saved for a special occasion.

Hit 10,000 hours on my boom truck last Tuesday and it caught me off guard

Catch me off guard? That meter's about the only thing that still clocks my hours.

Just realized my linen thread choice was way off for edge binding

Wait, you really think linen is always the better call for thick books?

Had to tear out half my garage ceiling after one bad screw

Actually sounds like the screw did you a favor. That sprinkler line was probably going to burst anyway during some random winter freeze, and then you'd have a flooded garage with ruined tools and a bigger mess. Better to find out now when you can control the cleanup instead of waking up to an ice rink at 6am. Plus now you know exactly where that pipe runs, so future projects are safer. Cheap lesson compared to paying a plumber to reroute it.
