Never would've believed it, but I now think the best writing prompts come from technical manuals. Flipped my view after a dryer repair guide inspired a sci-fi plot.

Technical writing always puts me right to sleep... guess I should try reading the terms of service next.

Actually, technical writing can be pretty interesting when it's done right. It's all about breaking down hard ideas into simple parts that make sense. You might find it less sleepy if the writer knows how to keep it engaging.
