Showerthought: giving myself a 100 word limit made my prompts way better than letting them run wild
Two years ago I wrote prompts the lazy way, a couple loose sentences and a vague "write something sad," and the results were always boring. Now I force every prompt into 100 words max and name one place or object, like a bus stop in Toledo at 6am, and the drafts come out way sharper. Too much setup gives the writer nothing to solve, and a prompt should make them work a little. Does anyone else cap their prompt length, or am I being too strict?
