Six weeks ago he refused to cross the bridge, now he drags me over it
My terrier mix Oliver used to freeze up at the little wooden footbridge near the old mill pond on Elm Street, every single walk was a 10 minute standoff. Then last month I started tossing a squeaky ball to the far side and letting him watch me fetch it back, just goofy stuff, no pressure. Yesterday he sprinted across with zero hesitation and even stopped to sniff a frog halfway, like he owned the place. Has anyone else had a dog flip a switch like that after weeks of the same stubborn routine?
