Hit 1,000 hours on my e-reader this morning - is that impressive or just sad?
I got a notification on my Kobo last week saying I've read for 1,000 hours total on this device. I've had it for about 18 months, so that averages out to almost two hours a day. Part of me feels proud, like hey, that's a lot of books and knowledge. But the other part wonders if I should be doing something more productive with my time, like learning a skill or exercising more. My wife thinks it's a waste because I could just use the library app on my phone for free instead of buying a separate gadget. But to me, having a dedicated reader with no notifications or distractions totally changed how much I actually finish books. Curious what you all think - does hitting a big reading hour count feel like an achievement or just a sign you need to touch grass? Anybody else track these numbers on their device?

Touch grass" made me laugh. Reading is never a waste, trust me. I'd rather have 1,000 hours of books than 1,000 hours of doomscrolling.
