The flashlight app I deleted after my night hike in Asheville

I used to think a phone flashlight app was good enough until I got caught on the Blue Ridge Parkway trail at dusk and realized the beam only lit up 4 feet ahead. My buddy pulled out his $20 headlamp and suddenly the whole path showed up, roots and all. That night I learned the difference between a strobe toy and actual lumens. Anyone else ditch their phone light after a real outdoor test?
