Bought a $60 'audiophile' cable and heard zero difference

I saw a forum post swearing silver cables open up the soundstage so I dropped $60 on one in Portland. Plugged it in, A/B tested with my normal cable for 2 hours, and honestly the only difference was my wallet crying. Has anyone else fallen for the cable upgrade trap or am I just missing something?

Silver cables in Portland, man, 60 bucks could've bought a decent set of pads instead.
