That stat about earbud battery degradation hit me hard yesterday
I was reading some random blog post about lithium ion batteries and it said most true wireless earbuds lose about 20% of their battery capacity after 300 charge cycles. I did the math on my two year old pair of cheap buds and realized they probably have way less than the advertised 5 hours now. So I timed them this morning while listening to a podcast at my desk. They died at exactly 3 hours and 42 minutes. Has anyone else actually measured their old earbuds battery life vs what they used to get?

Had a buddy at work who tested his old AirPods against a new pair his wife just bought. He put them both in at the same time with the same volume and the old ones quit almost 90 minutes sooner. Now he just buys the cheapest wired earbuds he can find and calls it a day.
