Three hours to draw a single goblin's face pixel art but it was worth it

I have been trying to make a pixel art token for my tabletop group's goblin rogue, and I spent three hours just getting the eyes right. The left eye kept looking like it was staring off into space, and my buddy Dave kept making fun of it on our Discord. Finally figured out that moving just two pixels down made it look alive. Has anyone else spent way too long on one tiny detail that nobody else will probably notice?

Three hours on eyes nobody will see, sounds like D&D alright.

Exactly this @danielh81. I spent like four hours on a pair of boots one time, stitched little scales all over them for my dragonborn. Nobody ever looked down that close. But I knew. That's the weird thing about D&D prep right? You do it for yourself mostly. Like one session I had this whole backstory for a random innkeeper and the party bribed him for info in two seconds. So much time. But when they did finally get it right two sessions later it felt amazing. So yeah, those eyes matter even if nobody sees them.
