My favorite set of metal dice decided to roll off the table and shatter a ceramic tile yesterday
It was a d20 I'd been using since 2018, and after watching it chip the floor I just sat there for a minute wondering if I should switch to softer rolling trays for good - has anyone else had a dice fail on them like that?

oh man that's rough. i gotta ask though was it a dramatic slow motion tumble off the edge or did it just yeet itself into oblivion? i had a d6 once bounce off a book, hit my cat's water bowl, and then land perfect in my coffee mug. totally unusable after that. but for real rip your tile and your dice. maybe invest in one of those giant neoprene mats that looks like a wrestling ring for your rolling sessions. at least the tile had a good run before meeting a d20 shaped end.

Didn't someone on here say ceramic dice are way harder on surfaces than metal ones?
