ECM programming delays from dealers kill my workflow.
Waiting days for a code reset is unacceptable.

My cousin in Boise had his truck's computer need a reset last year. The dealer there told him five days just to look at it. He got so fed up he bought a used OBD scanner from a pawn shop to clear codes himself. Sometimes I wonder if they make you wait so you just pay whatever they ask later. What did your cousin try when that happened?

Honestly, they're just swamped like everyone else lately.

In Phoenix, my brother had the same thing happen with his SUV last winter. He borrowed a basic OBD2 scanner from a friend at an auto parts store to reset the check engine light himself. I mean, dealers do take forever, maybe they hope you'll just pay up out of frustration. Idk, but after that, he bought his own scanner online for around forty bucks, and it's already saved him a couple of mechanic visits.
