Ngl, resetting ECU codes without fixing the root cause is a mistake.
It just masks problems that will come back worse.

My neighbor Greg cleared a check engine light for his inspection last fall. It passed, but his truck started running rough by Christmas and left him stranded. That whole thing reminds me of what you said, @kim178, about it biting people later. Sometimes that quick fix just makes you forget about the drip until the whole pipe bursts.
