PSA: That 'cheap' injector puller cost me $200 and a full Saturday
I tried saving $50 by buying a budget injector puller set from a parts store in Phoenix last month. First injector came out fine, but the second one snapped the puller clean in half with the injector still stuck. Had to call a buddy who brought over a Snap-On kit and it took us 4 hours to extract the broken pieces. Has anyone else had a cheap tool fail at the worst possible moment?

Man, that's rough. I feel for you, that's a whole day and then some down the drain. @spencer664 I actually did try heating the injector boss with a torch on mine before the cheap puller snapped, but it didn't help when the tool itself was the weak link. The metal on those budget sets is garbage, usually just soft pot metal that bends or breaks under any real load. A snapped puller with a stuck injector is one of those nightmares you don't forget, it's a $140 lesson plus a wasted Saturday.
