Update: My buddy swore by using a pickle jar to prime a fuel system on a 6.0 Powerstroke.
I called him crazy until we got it running in under 10 minutes with zero special tools, so has anyone else pulled off a weird fix that actually worked?
Wait, are you sure that's right? I've done the pickle jar trick a bunch and it always gets the high pressure oil side too. @anna_hill, have you seen it fail before?
That's a great trick for priming the secondary fuel system. The 6.0 actually has two separate fuel circuits, a high pressure oil system and a low pressure fuel system. The pickle jar method only addresses the low pressure side, so you might still have air in the high pressure oil side if it was completely dry.
