Heard my neighbor say pre-rinsing is just a waste of water and soap
She said the dishwasher sensors actually work better with food bits on the dishes, so I tried it last night and my plates came out cleaner than when I scrub them first. Has anyone else noticed their machine doing a better job without the pre-rinse?

Our machine has a little light that blinks when it thinks we're overloading it, so I just trust the sensors now. My husband still sneaks in to rinse plates sometimes and I swear the dishes come out with that weird film when he does. Isn't it funny how we've all been trained to pre-rinse when the machines are smarter than we give them credit for?

Omg yes! My husband totally does the same thing and the dishes come out all cloudy.
