My mom called me out on my dish rinsing habit last Sunday

I was over at her place helping with dinner cleanup and she watched me rinse every plate for a solid 30 seconds before loading. She goes "you know the dishwasher has sensors right?" and I just froze. She told me her Bosch manual says to just scrape and load. It hit different because she's been right about small stuff my whole life. Has anyone actually tested if pre rinsing messes with the cleaning cycle?

My cousin runs appliance repair so he saw the same thing and now I just scrape.

Just start scraping and don't look back honestly. I've seen way too many pans that looked fine but had Teflon dust floating around in the food. Not worth the risk for something you use every day. Your cousin's advice is gold on this one. Scrape away and sleep better at night.
