I finally saw what neglecting bottom bracket grease does after 18 months
Honestly, I pulled my crankset off last weekend and the bearings were completely dry with rust flakes in the cup. The bike was creaking for months and I thought it was the pedals. Has anyone else found hidden damage waiting inside their BB?

Whoa, 18 months and no grease at all? That's insane. How do you even ride a bike that long without checking something so basic?
