Just realized my chain tool was the problem, not my chain
I spent a solid 4 hours fighting a stuck link on my commuter bike, replacing a chain that was probably fine, all because my cheap chain tool from the pawn shop was bending rivets instead of pushing them straight. A guy at the co-op in Portland let me try his Park Tool CT-5 and it popped the link out in 2 minutes flat. I was ready to blame the Shimano chain I bought online, but nope, it was the $8 tool all along. Has anyone else blamed a part for weeks only to find out their tool was the weak link?
