Hot glue gun incident left a permanent mark on my desk

Was it the glue itself that melted into the plastic or did you accidentally touch the hot nozzle to the desk? Curious if you tried sanding it down or just gave up and called it character.

Did you try the old pencil eraser trick first @noahbaker? I had a similar thing happen with a hot glue gun on a wood table back in high school, ended up just calling it "art" and moving on lol. Sometimes the character is worth more than the headache of fixing it.
