Rant: Stop using vegetable oil in your DIY fog machines

I watched a guy at a Halloween party last week pour canola oil into his homemade setup and the smoke smelled like burnt french fries for hours, so why do people keep ignoring that propylene glycol is only $12 a gallon at the chemical supply shop and actually works without ruining the whole vibe?

Straight up, butler.mark is right. Amazon's got that stuff on Prime so you can have it in two days and skip the whole fast food joint smell. Even better if you can find a local restaurant supply store, they usually sell it in bulk for dirt cheap. Just mix it with distilled water in a 80/20 ratio for your fogger and you get thick, clean vapor that doesn't leave that greasy film all over your furniture or make your guests gag. Plus it's way safer if you accidentally breathe it in, especially with kids around. You ever try cleaning canola oil residue off a carpet?
