Did you mix it with anything or just use it straight? I mean, sometimes making a paste with a little water helps it stick and scrub better.

Cleaning my oven racks last month, I used dry baking soda on a wet sponge. It stuck to the grime without dripping or drying out too fast. I got solid scrubbing power and skipped the vinegar smell altogether.

Hold on, Oscar you've got it backwards. You mix baking soda with vinegar, not water, to really get it foaming and working. The baking soda alone is too soft to do much scrubbing on its own. That fizzy paste is what cuts through the grime. Otherwise you're just making a paste that dries out and flakes off.
