That one customer complained about my baseboards being off by a quarter inch
I did a trim job in a new build near St. Albert last fall and the homeowner pulled out a level and showed me where the joint didn't line up perfectly. She said it looked like I rushed through the corners, and honestly she was right because I was trying to finish early. Anyone else had a client's nitpicky feedback that actually made your work way tighter?

Nah, if you can't see a quarter inch gap without a level it's not worth mentioning, that's being too picky for sure.

That quarter inch probably bugged her every time she walked into the room. Customers like that force you to realize the difference between "good enough" and actually standing behind your work with your name on it. I had a lady in Spruce Grove make me redo a whole baseboard run because the miter was a hair off and she said her eye just caught it. At first I was annoyed but after I fixed it I saw what she meant, the light hit that corner wrong and it looked sloppy. Sometimes the picky ones are the ones who teach you to slow down and own every cut you make.
