PSA: stop using WD-40 on elevator door rollers

I spent an hour at a job last week where the previous guy had soaked the rollers in WD-40 and they were just slipping and gumming up worse. Switched to a dry silicone lube and the doors ran smooth in about 30 seconds. Anybody else run into this mess from someone else's quick fix?

WD-40 is basically the duct tape of maintenance problems, people just spray it on everything without thinking.

Nah @paige514, I think it's actually perfect for a ton of stuff if you just use it right.
