Used to think a hoof stand was just a hoof stand. Then a draft horse in Spokane leaned on me for a full minute while I was trimming.

That full minute of leaning, was it a calm weight or did you feel them testing the balance? Makes you wonder what goes through their head when they decide to use a person as a wall.

A draft horse in Spokane leaned on me" yeah that's the real test right there. You find out real quick if your stand is just a toy or not. That full minute must have felt like an hour. It's a whole different ball game when they decide to just park their weight on you. Makes you respect the gear and the animal in a new way.

So did you just stand there trying to look calm while your whole skeleton was getting compressed? Honestly, that's the kind of trust fall you don't sign up for. Bet you were mentally checking the warranty on your stand the whole time.
