Just nailed the fit on a self-drafted blouse pattern through three attempts.
Through three attempts, I finally got the sleeves to sit right on my blouse pattern. The French seams I tried look really professional. What's your go-to method for fitting sleeves?
Only three attempts? I mean, that's pretty good. I usually have to redo the sleeve cap like five times before it lays flat. My go-to method is just a lot of basting and hoping for the best, idk. French seams look pro, but they don't cover up my drafting mistakes.
Oh man, the amount of times I've had to pick out sleeve stitches is embarrassing. I once had a cap so bad it looked like my fabric was having a panic attack. I just keep a seam ripper next to my coffee now, it's basically part of the process. Basting and praying is my real skill set too, honestly.
