Pro tip: Stop putting zippers on the back of dresses
I keep seeing new designers put zippers on the back of fitted dresses and it drives me nuts. It's not just about looks, it's about function. I had a custom piece made for a wedding last year, and the back zipper got stuck halfway up. I had to call my sister into the bathroom to help, and we almost ripped the fabric. A side zipper, especially one hidden in the seam, is way easier to manage alone and lays flatter. It also gives you more design options for the back, like a cool cutout or detailing, without a metal track ruining the line. Why are we still defaulting to the hardest closure to use? Has anyone else had a nightmare with a back zipper and switched to a different placement?

Ever tried a dress with a magnetic closure?

My sister got me a blouse with hidden magnets for my birthday. Honestly, I thought it was a gimmick before I tried it. Tbh, putting it on is so much faster than fiddling with tiny buttons, and it feels really secure. It completely changed my mind about magnetic closures.
