That ājust skid moreā advice for brake pads is terrible
Overheard a guy at my local shop in Austin telling a new rider to just skid more to save brake pads. Bro, I skid maybe 3 times a day and my back wheel wore out in like 2 months. Who else thinks that advice ruins your tire way faster than it saves anything?

Wait, how many miles are you putting on those tires before they start wearing down from skidding? I'm curious if your riding style or the tire compound makes more of a difference than the skidding itself. Just trying to figure out if there's a tipping point where the pad savings don't make up for the tire damage.
