That bit about bulbs not seeds... it's funny how often we get the simple stuff wrong in all kinds of areas. You see it with cooking, fixing things around the house, basic car stuff... we sort of guess at the fundamentals. Makes you wonder what else I'm doing just a little bit wrong without knowing.

Yeah, that "guess at the fundamentals" part hits home. We all have those little blind spots, olivery26. I once spent a whole season waiting for tulips that I planted upside down. It's not just you. We learn a lot of things by half remembering or just assuming, and nobody corrects us until it goes wrong. Makes me double check the simple steps now.
