My 5-year-old's 'frog with 17 legs' replaced my minimalist fridge phase

I used to keep my fridge totally clean, just a single nice magnet. Then my niece brought home that lumpy clay creature with googly eyes last month, and now I'm the one who moves the takeout container so her art is front and center. How did you go from 'nothing on the fridge' to full gallery mode?

Nah that's the thing though, you gotta ask yourself why you care more about a kid's art than your own personal taste. Is it because the frog is genuinely cool or is it just that a 5-year-old made it? I'm not trying to be a dick but I think the real question is whether you'd toss it if she brought home something ugly next week. That's the test of whether you're actually into the art or just into the idea of being the cool aunt/uncle.

I mean, what if keeping the frog art is less about you and more about showing the kid their stuff actually matters, you know?
