Two days is a serious hunt for a spill. At that point, it's less of a clean up and more of a forensic investigation. Sounds like the fridge was hiding a science project.

My sister's fridge had a leak from the ice maker line that pooled under the bottom drawer. It was a slow drip, so the water just spread under everything. You might want to check the back wall for any frost or wet spots. Those sealed systems can have tiny leaks that only show up after a while.
