Maybe they skip the wifi stuff because how someone fails at it tells you more about them than a successful connection ever could. Grant Hernandez has a point about routine, but the struggle is where you see character. Would watch someone fight with a router for two minutes easy.

Actually, I bet they cut the WiFi bits because it's just boring routine stuff. Most people already know how to connect to a network, so showing it eats up time without adding value. It's like a cooking video skipping the part where you dry your hands on a towel.
