Wait what? Logan's right about the snapped pencil thing. I once wrote "coffee spilled on map" in a margin and months later that stupid note was the only reason I remembered which outcrop had the weird contact.

Yeah, that feeling of relief Olivia mentioned is huge. One thing I never considered until later is how my scribbles about the weather or a snapped pencil that day can jog the memory way better than just the rock description. It's the dumb little context clues that end up saving you, not just the main note.
