Rant: The gas station in Bend, Oregon that blinked out for a second
I was filling up my car at that Shell station on 3rd Street in Bend, Oregon, about two months ago. I looked down to check the pump total, and when I looked back up, the whole building was just gone for maybe half a second. I mean, flat empty lot, no pumps, nothing. Then it snapped back like nothing happened. My brain tried to say it was a weird eye blink, but I know what I saw (or didn't see). I was staring right at it. Now I can't drive past that spot without staring at it, waiting for it to happen again. It makes you question what you're really looking at all the time, you know? Has anyone else had a whole building just vanish on them like that?

I always brushed off stories like this, but something similar happened to me at a grocery store. Makes you wonder what's actually solid around us, right?

My local Target had a freezer aisle that would flicker lights and make a low hum every Tuesday at 3 PM for years, until they finally fixed it. It's those little, constant glitches that get to me. I totally get what you're saying, @olivia_webb, it makes the whole everyday world feel a bit like a shaky simulation. You start noticing all the small cracks in what's supposed to be normal.
