Tried hiding in a bush for 10 minutes and it actually worked

I was playing PUBG on Erangel last week and got pinned down near a house with no gear. Instead of running, I just crawled into a random bush and stayed completely still. Three different squads ran right past me while I watched them battle it out. Has anyone else pulled off a stupid hiding spot that somehow worked?

Crawled into a prone position behind a random rock on Miramar with no gun and just sat there while a whole squad lit each other up 20 feet away. They ran past me like three times lmao. I don't even think the last guy saw me until I stood up and he had to double take. Sometimes playing like a complete coward is the smartest move.
