Had a customer bring in a rusted shut .22 bolt that he'd tried to fix with a heat gun and peanut butter.

He said he saw it on a forum, something about the oils. I was ready for a total loss, but after soaking it in Kroil for two days, the gunk actually broke free. The bolt cycles now, though it smells like a weird sandwich. Anyone else run into a fix that sounded crazy but kind of worked?

Peanut butter? That's a new one.

Works great for getting tar off your hands.

Peanut butter is the hidden gem nobody talks about. I had tree sap all over my hands last summer from pruning branches and tried dish soap, hand sanitizer, even nail polish remover. Nothing worked until my dad told me to grab the Skippy. Smoothed it on, let it sit for a minute like a weirdly delicious hand mask, and the sap just wiped right off with a paper towel.
