What kind of exercises are you doing now? I had the same problem and found really simple stuff works best, like humming scales slowly before you even try to sing words. It gets everything warmed up without strain. Also, chugging water all day, not just before you go on, made a huge difference for me. How long have you been keeping up with the morning routine?

Ugh yes, @jones.anna is totally right. I mean, I used to jump into these complicated exercises and my voice would just give out. Now I do the simplest hums and lip trills forever before anything else, maybe it's just me but that slow start gets rid of all the tension. Trying to sing words right away was wrecking me. And the all day water thing is no joke, it made a way bigger difference than just gulping some right before. I've been trying the morning routine for like three weeks, but I still skip days sometimes.
