Unpopular opinion: that old keychain flashlight from 2002 works better than my phone's light

I found a blue LED keychain light in a drawer last week, batteries dead for years. Put new ones in and it throws a beam across the garage, while my phone flashlight only lights up my palm. Which side are you on - dedicated junk or modern convenience?

Man I used to be all about my phone flashlight. Thought it was convenient and all that. But then my buddy showed me his old Maglite keychain light from like 2005. That thing lit up his whole backyard. Now I keep a little LED on my keys and it's way better for finding stuff in the dark. Phone light is fine for a quick glance but real flashlights just hit different.

Yeah man that's the thing, phone flashlights are just a quick fix. If you actually need to see what you're doing, like looking under the couch or in a dark closet, a keychain light throws way more light and lasts longer too. Grab one of those little Olight or Streamlight ones and you'll never go back to squinting at your phone screen again.
