We're a mid-size PI firm looking to outsource intake and after-hours calls. Narrowed it down to Alert Communications and Ruby Receptionists. Anyone have experience with either? Which is better for legal-specific intake?

Log InAgree with the above. Ruby is fine for general business, but if you're a law firm, Alert Communications is the way to go. They actually understand legal ethics and conflict checks.
We compared both last year. Ruby's pricing was a bit lower initially, but the quality difference was clear. Alert's contract was more flexible too. No regrets going with Alert.
We used Ruby for a while—very polished and friendly, but not legal-specific. They didn't always ask the right qualifying questions. Switched to Alert Communications and it's been night and day. Their intake specialists know how to screen PI cases and they even do Spanish. More expensive but the ROI is there.
