Got a speeding ticket in Arizona last month and the photo was blurry
I was driving through Flagstaff on my way to visit family when a camera flashed me. I figured it was a speeding ticket so I waited for it in the mail. The picture came and you could barely make out my license plate or my face in the photo. I decided to fight it in court since the evidence was so bad. The judge actually dismissed it because the image wasn't clear enough to prove it was my car. Has anyone else gotten out of a ticket because of a bad photo?

I fought a red light ticket in Phoenix last year for the same reason, the plate was completely unreadable. Judge tossed it out and said if they can't identify the vehicle it's basically useless.

Heard the same thing happen to my buddy Dave (like two years ago now, I think). He got a red light ticket for his old Ford Ranger and the photo was just a blurry mess, you couldn't even tell it was a truck let alone read the plate. He showed up to court with the photo printed out and the judge laughed, said it was basically evidence of nothing. Dude didn't even have to pay the court fees, they just dropped the whole thing.
