Got hit with a $200 fee for a parking lot I didn't even use

Last month I parked at a lot near the courthouse for a hearing. I was there maybe 45 minutes. A week later I get a bill for $200 because the system said I overstayed by 10 minutes. I fought it for three weeks and finally got it dropped after sending them my bank records. Has anyone else had parking lot companies try to pull stuff like that?

Oh man that is such a garbage move by them. I had a similar thing happen with a parking garage downtown where they charged me for two days because I didn't see the "enter after 6pm" sign and my ticket got flagged wrong. Took me an hour of phone tag and three emails before someone finally looked at the camera footage and admitted their system was glitchy.

Gotta love how they make you do all the legwork just to prove their own system messed up. @ruby561 your story sounds exactly like the runaround I got from my credit union last week.
