Stumbled onto a secret discount at the Regal Cinema in Memphis last Tuesday for early bird showings before noon

Tickets were only $5.50 and the theater was nearly empty, has anyone else lucked into a cheap matinee deal like that?

Honestly, is $5.50 really that much of a steal? Around here, the early bird matinees are usually like $6 or $7, and you're stuck watching whatever random movie they're trying to bury before lunch. Plus, you gotta deal with the sticky floors and old popcorn smell from the night before. Ngl, I'd rather pay full price for a later showing where the seats are cleaned and the AC actually works.
