Just realized my kitchen drawer was a graveyard for single-use gadgets

Honestly, I cleared out all the unitaskers and kept only the multi-functional tools. Ngl, cooking feels simpler now. What's your rule for deciding what kitchen gear to keep?

Is it even a proper kitchen if you don't have a drawer dedicated to regrettable impulse buys? I clung to a dedicated avocado slicer for an embarrassing amount of time before admitting it was just a weird knife with commitment issues. Now I judge everything by whether it can convincingly moonlight as something else, like a salad spinner that also works as a makeshift helmet for bad hair days. Honestly, if it doesn't earn its counter space by being useful or at least mildly entertaining, it gets donated.

Forgot I owned a garlic press until it fell on my foot during the great drawer purge. My rule is if I can't immediately name three uses for it, the thing is just defensive architecture against empty drawer space. That weird banana hanger? It's a coat hook for someone much more flexible than me. Honestly most unitaskers are just regular tools with an identity crisis and worse ergonomics.

TOSS out any gadget that can't do at least TWO things well.
