Took me three tries to find a desk mat that didn't slide around at a LAN party in Tulsa
I spent almost 45 minutes between matches trying to fix my mouse pad from creeping off the edge and it killed the whole night. Has anyone else dealt with a pad that just refuses to stay put on a slick desk?

Oh man, I used to think any old cloth pad would do the job just fine... but after trying rubber-backed and even some with weird sticky coatings, I totally get the struggle now. The weight of the pad matters more than I ever expected, especially with fast swipes. Ended up finding one with a thick foam base that finally grips the table without being a hassle.

$20 for a mousepad? No way, thats insane to me. Ive been using the same $5 one from a thrift store for like three years, and it works fine. Respectfully skyler_white95, I think you overthink it. My glue-on coasters from the dollar store hold my pad down just as good as any "thick foam base" would. Weight just means it slides around less if you bump your desk, but most cheap pads have that little rubber grip on the bottom anyway. I swear half these "gaming" pads are just a marketing thing to make you spend more money.
