The great fire ant hill vs. my pressure washer standoff

I was at a job in Austin, blasting a driveway, when I hit a fire ant mound with the wand by accident. Those things exploded everywhere, covering my boots and legs in like 300 angry ants within 10 seconds. I dropped the washer, ripped my pants off in the middle of the street, and stomped around like a maniac while the homeowner watched from her window. After I killed them all and hosed off, she came out and said 'I've been wanting to get rid of that hill for weeks.' Has anyone else had a simple job turn into a total circus by nature itself?
