Changed my mind about the Ratchet and Clank reboot after giving it a second chance

I wrote off the 2016 Ratchet and Clank remake a few years back because it changed the story and cut levels from the original. But I picked it up on sale for $10 last week and played through again, and honestly the gameplay and weapon upgrades hold up better than the PS2 version. Has anyone else gone back to a remaster they hated and ended up liking it more the second time around?

Gave the 2016 Ratchet remake a second chance myself but still think it LOST all the charm of the original.

Those first few hours are rough but the weapons really come alive later.
